Holmfield Swimming Hole

Holmfield Swimming Hole

is a bend in the Long River, which has been partially dammed to create extra width, in the north-west

corner of the Village of Holmfield in the Municipality of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. The municipal designation

applies to the 5 lots along the riverbank at this location.

Holmfield Swimming Hole

is valued as a community recreational area and the sole public access to the Long River. It has been

used for 125 years for such activities as swimming, skating, canoeing, cross-country skiing and fishing.
