623-629 Main Street is a two-storey brick commercial row building of late 19th-century Italianate architecture located in downtown Woodstock. The building is part of a row of similar buildings that have traditionally formed the town’s retail and service district.

623-629 Main Street is a good example of the Italianate row buildings that form the town’s retail and service district. Built as part of the reconstruction of Woodstock’s downtown after the disastrous fire of 1877, 623-629 Main Street has retained many of its original architectural characteristics. Despite several changes over the years, much of the red brick exterior is original.

The buildings value also lies in that it continues to serve its original purpose as a commercial/residential property.

- overall symmetry of the façade;

- segmented arch windows;
