105 Grover Street

105 Grover Street is a one and half storey early neo-classical house overlooking the St. John River in Woodstock.

105 Grover Street is designated a Local Historic Place because it is the oldest known home within the town limits and for its association with the owner, James Grover and John Coffin Winslow.

Built in 1834 by Nathaniel Murrill Hazen, the home still features many of its original characteristics. The house has a pleasing symmetrical design, featuring a central dormer with a coloured window. 104 Grover Street is also known as Hazen House.

The property is also recognized because it has been owned by both James Grover, for whom the street is named, and by John Coffin Winslow, a descendant of the prominent Loyalist family who were instrumental in shaping Woodstock.
