Shaw House

Shaw House is a large two-storey red brick Georgian building. It is located on Brunswick Street in the town of St. George.

Shaw House is designated a Local Historic Place for its unique architecture.

Shaw House is the only house in the town of St. George constructed of man-made bricks from a local brickyard circa 1830's. It is a good example of early 19th-century Georgian residential architecture. Its large rectangular massing, the hipped roof, the Palladian window over the central front entrance and the overall symmetry of the building indicate this style.
