Douglas Fraser House

Douglas Fraser House is charming single storey wood frame house built in 1933 located on the west side of Front Street in North Quesnel, BC. The historic place includes the building and the parcel of land it occupies.

The house holds social and cultural value as a physical reminder of the people who shaped the development of Quesnel.

The house is named for Douglas A. Fraser who was a prominent community member in Quesnel. As the town changed over time, so did the use of the house. Giovanni "John" Acasto Lazzarin Sr. and his wife Carlotta purchased this house in the 1950s to be used as a rental property as they saw the city growing and with it the need for housing. John was an important member of the community. He was a blacksmith and maintained the Barnard Express Stage.
